Unimarket automates procurement for Hudson Valley Community College
Unimarket, a leading provider of simple and easy-to-use software that brings all your procurement into one place, announced today that Hudson Valley Community College, one of the most comprehensive community colleges in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, has selected Unimarket’s eProcurement solution to increase spend visibility, drive better pricing and improve compliance.
Located in Troy, New York, Hudson Valley Community College is one of 30 community colleges that are part of the SUNY system. The college enrolls 11,500 students and offers 85 degree and certification programs through its four schools: Business, Engineering & Industrial Technologies, Health Sciences, and Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Hudson Valley decided to transition to an eProcurement solution because its manual, paper-intensive process resulted in a slow spend cycle and wasn’t meeting its needs as an expanding college. After a thorough evaluation of leading eProcurement providers, Hudson Valley Community College chose Unimarket to provide a full suite of integrated source-to-settle solutions that are designed to meet the needs of higher education institutions, including sourcing, contracts, procurement, invoicing, and a quickly growing supplier marketplace.
“Hudson Valley Community College selected Unimarket because of its dedicated customer service team, easy-to-use platform and integration capabilities with the college’s Banner by Ellucian ERP system,” said Gina Ricci, Director of Budget at Hudson Valley Community College.
“The customer service aspect is what really made Unimarket stand out to us,” Ricci said. “Unimarket has been attentive to our needs from day one, and they’ve always been there to answer questions and collaborate with us.”
“Hudson Valley Community College is one of the top community colleges in the U.S., and Unimarket is excited to help them implement an eProcurement platform that is going to increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve control over spend,” said Darren Blakely, President Unimarket North America. “We’ve worked hard to establish a trusted relationship with the community colleges in the SUNY system – it’s great to see another one select Unimarket.”
