Unimarket appoints Jennifer Wood to spearhead US higher education sales.

Annapolis, MD - Leading eProcurement and spend management solution provider Unimarket has announced the appointment of Jennifer Wood as Head of North American Higher Education Sales.

Wood brings deep experience in higher education to the role, including serving as Director of Campus Services for Loyola University Maryland for almost a decade. Prior to her appointment to Unimarket, Wood was a Partner Executive for Ricoh USA, leading its higher education sales strategy.

“Jennifer’s experience and record of success within higher education make her a fantastic choice for this new role and we’re excited to welcome her to the team. She truly understands the challenges our higher education customers face every day and she has the skills and experience to help our customers navigate these challenges,” says Darren Blakely, President Unimarket North America.

“We’re proud that many colleges and universities partner with us to take their procurement to the next level, and with Jennifer leading our business development in higher education, we will be able to reach even more institutions and expand our growing customer community.”

Wood has worked closely with teams and stakeholders on technology projects, including helping Loyola University Maryland introduce a new purchasing solution when she was the institution’s Director of Campus Services.

“While working in higher education, I had a role that allowed me to move beyond the silos that typically exist in colleges and universities,” says Wood.

President Unimarket North America

“I was constantly talking to people across campus, learning how their departments operated and understanding their issues. I was asked to work on many special projects because I knew how to bring different stakeholders together to make a decision and get projects completed. Because of this, I understand what our customers are going through and can help them get the buy-in they need to deliver more effective procurement across their campuses.

“Knowing that Unimarket understands higher education and is focused on customer satisfaction is a huge reason why I was excited about this opportunity. After working in this industry for many years, I know how important it is for vendors to understand how higher education operates because it isn’t like any other sector.”

Unimarket is a trusted partner of procurement teams across higher education, is a business partner of the National Association of Education Procurement (NAEP), and an Ellucian technology partner.
